I think my fonts are corrupted or something. I'm getting little squares in programs where there should be text. See screenshot

Doesn't TweakUI Repair Fonts repair settings in the Fonts folder, not actual fonts?

You are probably running a theme or otherwise set the font for active Windows to a font that is missing or damaged. What version of Windows are you running?

This sometimes happens when a font is missing and is called.
You might try changing a default font for whatever is trying to write and see whether anything changes.....

From your cabinet files or from the ME CD.

The easiest way is to extract them, otherwise you are into over-installing.
If you use find file and type: .CAB (*.cab in '98)
... and then, on the second line add any of the files below you will find all of these fonts in the WIN_17.CAB Folder. Just extract them with a right-click and place them into the: C:\WINDOWS\FONTS Folder.
I have 27 system fonts on this Pan-European version of ME all in C:\WINDOWS\FONTS\*.FON
Other true type fonts have a .TTF extension.
Of the 27, only 7 show, whilst the other 19 are hidden system fonts.
ALL 29 have a red A (Archive) icon.
The 20 hidden files are:
8514FIX.FON 8514OEM.FON 8541SYS.FON APP850.FON COURE.FON COURF.FON DOSSAPP.FON MODERN.FON SERIFE.FON SERIFF.FON SMALLE.FON SMALLF.FON SSERIFE.FON SSERIFF.FON SYMBOLE.FON SYMBOLF.FON VGA850.FON VGAFIX.FON VGAOEM.FON VGASYS.FON
The 7 which show are:
WST_CZEC.FON WST_ENGL.FON WST_FREN.FON WST_GERM.FON WST_ITAL.FON WST_SPAN.FON WST_SWED.FON
XWCLCD.fon is for the Xerox printer, and VIROUT.FON IS FOR AVG Grisoft Anti-Virus
I extracted the DOSSAPP.FON myself. It does not usually show since DOS was partially removed.
You should compare this with a US System.

Or if not that, would deleting the file through DOS render pc unbootable or would it replace it with a new one ?
Sorry to bother everyone

You will see that system fonts don't all show in the font table within the control panel.
Whatever the font is you are using is likely damaged so try changing to anything else, such as a system font which is know to be alright, until you can find the damaged one.
Have you checked to see if there is anything unchecked in msconfig, system and win .ini?

You should be able to change the default font as long as you don't remove any system fonts. If Windows has to it should be able to find the system fonts to "default" or revert to.
Not ... quite ... the same thing. More like DOSAPP.FON, a ... basic ... system font.

Where are you getting that from? IRC?
Do you get corrupted print from anywhere else? Like, if you click on the Start button, are the things on the Start Menu also corrupted?

From IRC, Trillian, Pathfinder, Elite Force and picture it !
I used a font viewer and a few of the Ariel fonts were showing there as the blocks,
