I read that it was supposed to be smaller, faster and not bloat laden as 2006. Faster boot and shutdown are touted by Symantec as improvements.
Any real world testing done yet by actual users on this forum? In other words, reviews by real people that I would actually trust, rather than the usual self serving crap.
Thanks,
Paul

It's $10 more expensive than 2006. What a rip.

I think it's that time of year to search for "free after rebate's" sales. If I have to pay a little I think it's worth it as I go for NSWP.
EDIT: $5 bucks after rebates: http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StaplesProductDisplay?ts=1159968593519&prodCatType=1&storeId=10001&productId=154456&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&cmArea=FEATURED:SC3:CG5
I want a NSWP 2007 rebate offer tho.

Thanks adirong. Went to Staples today & got the same deal. Seems reasonable, whatever, their pseudo price increase. Methinks the competition has really heated up for Antivirus programs & even the big guy on the hill can't take anyone for granted. That's especially since their last year's version was a system hog.

Can or can't this be submitted through Staples Easy Rebate? If so, it's good, if not and you have to go through Symantec, it's not so good.

The rebate from purchase at the Staples store (not web) is submitted thru Staples, not Symantec.

Why? In my experience Symantec's rebates are consistantly faster than, Staples easy rebates.

Shelly, I had a difficult time once with Symantec losing my original forms, but have had great experiences with Staples. In any case, I need to buy seven new licenses and it was cheaper to go through NewEgg and get them as 3-packs. To qualify for the rebate, you have to pay separately and only one purchase per address and phone number is eligible for the rebate.
The number on the easy Rebate form is actually Symantec and I went through the requirements with a really nice gal today. She was very helpful but the rules are the rules, so I did it the right way.

Can NAV 2007 be used to update NAV in NSW 2006?

Since 2007 may have a slimmer and faster engine, I would remove 2006 NAV from NSW and install NAV 2007.

That's just what I'll do. Thanks.
