My Ding-A-Ling - Chuck Berry

106636, RE: Your Theme Song Posted by Mojo2000, Fri Mar-03-06 11:20 AM
I seem to remember reading a report that "My Ding-A-Ling" was Chuck's only #1 hit? Not the most favorable (or most deserving) distinction in his discography...
My own result was:
US "Groovy Kind of Love" by Phil Collins Classical pianists know this song was, intentionally or not, based on an 18-century keyboard sonatina by Muzio Clementi. :+
UK: "One Moment in Time" by Whitney Houston, which I don't even know...

You think you got it bad?
Wake Me Up Befoe You Go-Go - Wham!
I absolutely despise that song and indeed, around 1984 when I was 18, that irritating song was on the radio, music videos etc. constantly. Thinking about it takes me back to the time.
Now I have that stupid song stuck in my head and I must don my collander and aluminum foils to make it stop.

The Four Seasons' "Big Girls Don't Cry"? I don't think so. Fondly recalling my misspent twenties, the Eagles' "Hotel California" is a much better fit.
