"Me again, Stumped again"

I have a dell 5567 Laptop. It has always ran great but of course I gave it to the kid. He yanked cord, so replaced power cord and power port. Successful. So in reattaching hinge assembly, I screwed up Lan and antennae wires. I replaced those as well- Now that brought me where i had not been but again- Success!! It booted, started , wifi instant , all was well- or so I thought.
Did updates, etc and was going to do factory reset when I discovered one biggie! The keyboard will not work. Backlight works. I opened it back up and found cables to backlight and keyboard- they are secure as is finger pad, which curser works but thats it. Reinstall- removed keyboard and restarted. Before I order a new front piece- this one is all in one keyboard with front piece. Any ideas?????
