Earthlink. Best dial up ISP I have ever used. Its not free, but not the most exspensive. I would stay away from the really cheap or free ISP services. The amount of headaches you will endure with the cheap stuff is not worth the $$$ you will save. Get an earthlink dial up account, probably about 20 bucks a month and you will be happy.

I agree with Garbru. Earthlink is the best for connections that I have found and I use it all over the country. Pricing is reasonable also. After a 4 day business trip and several large file downloads over dial-up, I just hope I never have to give up my cable connection at home.

If you are looking for an inexpensive national ISP, my daughter has been using NetZero for $9.95 per month unlimited. It has been fast and reliable. She has no access to broadband yet.

There may be, but it will take some research, a good local isp. For instance, here in milwaukee we have available both milwaukeepc and merrimac at $10/mo if you take a year contract. No intrusive software like AOL. Just the connection, thank you sir.
