"No Windows Directory and etc..."

Help.... i was trying repair my system. booted to dos and saw only 4 items .(dir) ..(dir) dc0(dir) dc2(dir) command.com all my word docs, powerpoint and other folders i thougtht would be in the dc0 and dc2 dirctories, but they aren't. I can't even find the windows directory. Is it nested somewhere????? I then tried to reinstall windows 98 ontop to make it repair and fix the problem, it went thru the 1st stage, but then gave me an error i need to disable antivirus software or remove it from the autoexec line..... There's not a virus software on it, and since it can only boot to dos i wonder if i can find the windows directory and the others to get it running?

What do you mean you tried to "repair" it? What exactly did you do to it? What was the previous problem?

And it probably meant the virus protection in the BIOS. Disable it.
