" Pasting clipboard contents from PhotoSuite into MS Publisher project"
I am using Publisher to create a booklet about my church's new stained glass windows. On a Publisher page I would like to have an image of the entire window positioned on the left. Each window has a circular element containing a Biblical scene. Down at the bottom of the window is a rectangle containing the name of the person memorialized. I am using PhotoSuite's circle cut tool to cut out the window's circular Bible scene so I can place an enlargement of it to the right of the image of the window so the reader can see the details. I'm also cutting out the name block and doing the same thing.
When I cut the circular object out of the window image in PhotoSuite, I attempted to use Edit>copy>paste to place the cutout on the Publisher page. Instead of the cutout being pasted, some kind of square containing some text gets pasted. If I drop the cutout into Paint, edit>copy it, and then paste into Publisher, the cutout gets pasted okay. Is this just a matter of Publisher only cooperating with Paint b/c they're both Microsoft products, and not cooperating with PhotoSuite because it's not? Or am I just not doing something right?
I'm attaching a finished page so you can see what I'm talking about.

I've had quirky results in Publisher when copying images stored in MS Word documents sent to me so it isn't just problems with applications outside the Microsoft realm.
I don't use PhotoSuite but I'm fairly sure you have the option of saving altered images as jpg files. I'd create a new folder for the images you plan to use in your project and a naming scheme to help you track the larger image of the whole stained glass window picture and then the circular cutout that goes with it as a smaller jpg. I get the best results in Publisher when I use 'Insert > Picture > From File...', rather than copy and paste.

Steve, PhotoSuite does let you save cutouts as .jpegs and I did do that. But here's a problem:--and I've encountered this in Paint, too--the cutout is on (in?)a white square, or canvas. Now, Paint does let you make that white area transparent. If PS does, I haven't figured out how.
This being the case, when I paste a cutout--or insert it as a picture--this white area obscures some of the window image. I can make the white area transparent in Paint and then drop it onto my Publisher page. I guess I'm just looking for a way to eliminate some steps, clicks, or keystrokes.
