Interesting that it can burn Blue Ray. I've got an earier version ( that I've never used ) so this update might be good to have. as if I'll ever get a Blue Ray Player.

I am a bit confused about these Ashampoo versions. Perhaps somebody can straighten me out.
I currently have (and find very good) Ashampoo Burning Studio 2008 as mentioned on this forum several months ago. It was a free download. This is the version information from that program:

Just to add some more confusion. Early last year I downloaded and installed Burning Studio 6 (v. 6.50)which was a freebie from Ashampoo. Soon after that, they emailed me an offer to upgrade to their newly released Burning Studio 7 (v. 7.1.0) for $9.99 US. I believe they claimed the regular download price was $30. Neither one of those programs refers to itself as 2007 or 2008, but version number only. V 7 is a good program and certainly worth the $10, the cost of 3 gallons of New York gasoline.

Just as a note, after I got the previous version last year I deluged with e-mail, at least two a week, touting their other products. They did stop when I un-subscribed though.
