"Windows 10 32 bit"

I'm building a new W10 system with an H370 mobo. I was hoping to restore from my 32 bit backup, but the board literature specifically mentions 64 bit. Does this mean the H370, is not compatible with 32 bit W10? If that's the case, I am prepared to convert to 64 bit.

While you can do it you're limiting yourself on amount of ram recognized or available. 4GBs is all you can use and if you're using the integrated graphics it'll end up being a lot less as some of it is reserved for that. Go 64 bit and save a headache.

OK, thanks. I know about the 4G limit. I do have a separate graphics card to help out. I thought that perhaps, 32 bits was prohibited with the h370 boards.

Why were you contemplating 32-bit anyhow?
Only (on the hope) that your restored backup would work on the new M/B & system?

If that's the reason, even if it happened to work - which it might (with Windows automatically installing "correct" drivers & such), I'd still be suspect about it, coming from disparate systems.

(Not to mention you're talking about Win10 where there is no consistency, stability, between "fixes", in any case.)

Aomei Backupper Professional will install to disimmialr hardware. Way back, when I was going from w7 to 10 and I had the option of 32 or 64 bits, and I wasn't wise enough to make the right choice, I made the wrong choice.
