"Does anyone use Aomei Backupper"

I have used this software to backup my system for many years with great success. But am unable to understand how to complete the requirements for the UEFI backup. Tried to make a Winpe type on a CD so I could restore my system backup
but simple do not know just exactly what is required. Hope some of you gurus can enlighten me. Think if I could restore my system as it was on the first, I could solve most of my problems.

Thank you all for your continued help with my problems. I do appreciate it.

I am using my old laptop because cannot access the Internet with my desktop.

I suggest the first thing you should do is use Backupper to create a current BackUP. Store it on a Flash drive or anywhere off the current drive that will be restored, If the following information, screws up, you should be able to get back to where you are right now.

I have used Backupper successfully for years - but I have an old computer with a BIOS system, not UEFI. So I don't have any specific UEFI advice but I'd be surprised if it's very different from BIOS. I really don't know if there is a different procedure.

Have you ever restored with Backupper? If so, you probably already have, and have used, a Backupper CD/DVD at bootup. Your previously created one should work just fine.

Boot from your old Backupper CD/DVD and follow the steps.

Alternatively, you could try System Restore - if the backups were made and not removed with the Update.

Or, perhaps the Update can be removed in Settings. Go to Update and Security> View Update History> and at the top of the page, select Uninstall Updates. Right click the offending update, and, if it can be uninstalled, an Uninstall option box will appear. Click it and see what happens.

Good luck.

Jim.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, that if your Backupper CD/DVD doesn't boot at Start UP, you will need to press F12 (thanks Ttech) repeatedly at start up, if necessary, to change the boot order. It will take a few seconds for a screen of the available drives to be displayed, from which you then will select the CD/DVD by arrowing up or down and pressing enter.

Over the years I have used backupper many times. Even after it changed its UEFI Method. But recently even the UEFI method changed and here lies my problem and many others also. If you would read about people trying to figure this out. It is very different than the Legacy method.

There were so many things wrong with my OS that I elected to do a clean install. Which I did. Now I must reinstall the programs that I want.

Its a slow go. I must download another copy of Backupper or change to another program that is friendlier than Aomei. Wish some of the members here would advise me of better software.

Wish my computer was set for Legacy boot.

Using it for at least 5 years. Did several restores without issue. Did one about a month ago on UEFI system, all OK.

My problem is with the Winpe version. The regular backup and restore works fine.
