"Finding missing documents on my computer"

I use a HP laptop computer with Windows 10. Lately, when I author a document and click "SAVE" on it and try later to edit it or just see it, I cannot find it. No matter what I do I cannot find it again. I need advice on how to solve this problem. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

For finding files, there is nothing better then Everything.

https://www.voidtools.com/ - Everything.

So if your file was named, "missing.txt", type in 'missing' & it will be found (if it was there).

If you know your file was 4096 bytes long, type in 'size:4096' & it will be found (if it was there).

If you know your file started with the letter 'm' & had the number 36 in it & was a .txt file, type in 'm 36 .txt' & it will be found (if it was there).
