A recent installation of Easy Office made some some modifications to my context menu i want to get rid of. Whenever I R-click on any file in Win Explorer, it now shows a series of menu choices in my context menu (for zipping files, etc). Can someone please tell me how to get rid of it? TIA. OS=W2K.
Poke around in EO configuration and preferences etc. would probably be the only way. If you managed to find the right registry entries to delete, EO would just put them back most likely.
That's just the thing Bob. I can't seem to find any settings/options in easy office that would get rid of it. If anyone here has experience w/ this program, please tell me how to get rid of it. TIA.
Steve, in one of those first 2 keys you mentioned i did find something related to the Easy Office Zip and deleted. However, my context menu remained pretty much the same. I thought perhaps a reboot was needed and today is the first chance i've had to do so.
Upon reboot, i was hoping to see my context menu back to normal but it still shows up as per below. Any further suggestions??
P.S. Notice how the arrow opens up a grayed out box to the right? Strange.
There might be entries under each individual file type. For example, under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\txtfile\shell\{command name}\command.
There are so many options, it is hard to really check it out without having the programs installed on my system. You can do a regedit search for the terms used in the context menu but don't be too hasty deleting keys.
