"File Downloads"

I am running Win XP Pro IE6

When I download a file, and choose save, the box disappears after the download is complete. It used to stay up and give the option to open or close. Now after I save a file I have to hunt it down to run it. Any ideas?

BigBrother, I don't have XP but when the download box appears take the checkmark out of "close this box or window when download completes"(not exact wording). The download box should now stay open till you decide to close it.

If you cannot uncheck the close box...run the "repair IE6 function" to bring back to defaults ... Desi

How do you repair IE6 in Win XP Pro? I know how to do it in Win ME and 98, but not XP Pro.

Chances are you won't be able to find it. It came with XPPro and doesn't have the repair function available. :'(
