I am finding dozens of pictures of "Temp internet files" in MRUDs that I never knowingly loaded .Some are even pictures from posts that I visited on this site.Others I never recall even ever seeing. While I am asking ,what does MRUD stand for.?I can't understand how these got there.A lot of them show that they are Corel Photo Images.I do have this program on my machine.Norton shows NO virus.I am running Win XP home.Thank you

Thank you ,I now know what MRUD stands for.Can anyone tell me why they show up in Irfanview?I delete them with no problem but I can't understand why some of them show up there while others do not.The blaster looks like it will help ,but I am wondering why they end up in Irfanview in the firsr place.I will install the Blaster but can you tell me what causes them to get into Irfanvirw. Thanks
Hi RUBE,I was looking at the program previously recommended and found this in the posts at the site which comfirms your statement. Now I am still wondering what creates these and their usfulness.Where do I look to tell what version Irfanview I have?
Will the program delete mrus in Irfanview? NO

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In any case, you can configure IrfanView to not keep any MRUs in its File menu. From Options go to Properties and click Misc. 2. There in the dialogue box you'll see an option to "Add MRUDs to Menu File". If it's checked, just uncheck it and you're done.
To clear the already existing MRUs go to Misc. 1 from Options --> Properties and press the "Clear" button to the left of the MRUDs List option, at the bottom of the dialogue box.
I am still wondering what causes them to show up in Irfanview. Can anyone explain why they show up and what creates them. Some of them are hardly the most recent of sites that I have frequented Thank you!
