"ZoneAlarm problem - fixed"
Mon May-16-05 09:51 AM by Paul D

Previously ZoneAlarm Pro reverted to the free version after the fifteen day trial. The current one (5.5.094) didn't - it just told me it was ending. So fine, I thought. I shut it down, fired up the Windows firewall, downloaded ZA Free, disconnected from the 'net and ran the install.

Trouble is, the install doesn't work. It all appears to be going OK until you get to the point where you hit the Install button. There the process just quietly shuts down. No fuss and bother, no error messages, nothing.

Any ideas, anyone?

Answer is to delete folder C:\Windows\System32\ZoneLabs. A couple of files got left behind there
