I always just use Everest. It has a sensor section.
Also, Motherboard Monitor is a good.

I was just going to post exactly what Darren said Chewy..He's way too fast.

I've used MBM 5 on many machines. It's good if you want to keep an eye on the your temps all the time. Just sits there in the tray..

Right now I just take a look at Everest once in a while..

I don't know if I can be considered a very reputable source, but I use and recomend Motherboard Monitor. It's real cheap....FREE!

is a good.

Just a small point on MM ... it is no longer supported, as a result it does not work on some newer motherboards ... but Everest does.

Anyone know of a CPU temp monitoring program that can monitor a Dell Optiplex GX280 computer? None of the ones in this thread can. I know there has to be a CPU temperature sensor because you can hear the CPU fan spin up and slow down. Everest (the newest version) comes the closest. It can read the sensor for the hard drive temperature.

What do you mean he's the Doctor? Doctor Who?

Go into the BIOS and make sure monitoring is enabled.

The motherboard itself doesn't support temp readings.

Shame on you Intel.

Many, if not all, Dell computers don't have temperature sensors. The way to tell is to check in the BIOS. Any board with temperature sensors will report the temperatures in the BIOS.

Temperature sensitive fans usually depend on sensors built into the fan, not on system temperatures.
