As some of you know I'm pulling together the components for a new build. I'm looking at the Asus P5B, P5B-E, P5B Deluxe for the motherboard. I see a few differences, but nothing really major, am I missing something? P5b: Sata 5 + 1 external, no firewire, 1 PCI Express 16 P5B-E: Sata 6 + 1 external, 1 firewire + 1 back, 1 PCI Express 16 P5b Deluxe: Sata 7 + 1 external, 1 firewire + 1 back, 2 PCI Express 16 and a pretty chipset heat pipe
Now I dont have any firewire devices but would like to have the option if I get something. I don't plan on doing any very heavy gaming so I dont plan on using 2 video cards. Plenty of Sata connectors on all.
Is there something else the Deluxe has that I'm missing? I'm leaning towards the P5B-E Thanks Denbeau

Wow...that NewEgg link made that line so long I didn't see the Reply, reply with quote links at the bottom. I agree with ya Dennis. The -E model has better LAN and audio chipsets which is why I'd buy that'un. If you were buying an nVidia chipsets board, those flashy heatsinks might make a difference but the Intel chipsets don't create the kind of heat the 570 and 590 nvidias do.
opening each version in a separate page - arrange them so that the windows are beside each other (skinny to the size of the list) and just go down the list. That is what I did and ended up that I wanted everything, so I got the Deluxe Wifi even though I don't use wireless - but I may someday
