I fixed the links.
Check your version LilJoe as Zone Labs issued a statement in regards to downloading from another site before it was officially released that changes could still be made before it was released on Monday (today).

When I use ZA to check for updates it says I have the lateset update, I use Free Zone alarm, I tshows the following in product info 6.5.737.000

If I down load the free version here will I have to uninstall it to install the new one as indicated here in a post. Remember I only use the free version as my Anti Virus is Kaspersky

Check the update after one or two days

Only seems to hit the update servers once the bugs have been ironed out so I like to wait until ZA tells me theres an update available.

I ran the update for the free Zone alarm but it told me I had to disable or not use Kaspersky Anti Virus. So until the current version I am running 6.5.737.00 tell me an update is ready. I will not be using the new one posted here.

Well if that's the case I'll be sticking with 6.5 too. Aint dumping KAV

ZA Pro is still showing my system up to date as of 3:50PM this afternoon.

Zone Labs notifies users of a new update, but spreads the notifications out over a few weeks to prevent their servers from being overloaded. You can go to the link provided above to get it now, or wait for your notification. I always wait for the notification. It is not an emergency, and it often provides time for them to learn of and fix any reported bugs.

I've been leary of ZA after having repeated troubles with their upgrades. Now that they've dropped CA, I'll have to try the Suite and see how well KAV and ZAPro have been integrated.

After a clean installation of ZA, the PC crashed when it rebooted. On second boot everything came up fine and the PC is running great:-) -----So far.

I have been using and updating ZA Pro and Free versions since they first came out with the firewall. Only once did I ever run into a bug that created any problems, and we all remember that one! Oterwise, their releases have been very solid, but some people have botched installations by not diabling their anti-virus, or some other programs and then blamed ZL for it.

I have used /updated the free version as an upgrade rather than clean install over many versions and only had the one problem as well.It's probably why I have stuck with it.

Yes, I always upgrade rather than clean install it too. That one release that was defective was replaced in about a week, but all you had to do was revert to the previous version until they fixed it.

I don't know about this new version: it looks bloated to me (39MB Vs 13.5MB previous releases... is it spyware /ads? who knows!?

My download of ZA-pro was only 14.4MB.

Anyone seen problems with the new one yet? I am interested mainly in the free version since I am running the great NOD32 for an antivirus.

I'm running it on five (5) machines with NOD32 and with the last two machines that still have NAV 2007. So far, everything is fine.

It did ask to scan my system prior to the install, but I think it was for spyware.

Interesting that they are releasing a major new version now so close to Vista's release (outside of Volume Licensed Owners) but don't include Vista compatibility.

I think the big problem why it isn't Vista ready is Kaspersky isn't Vista ready yet.

I installed this version after trying Comodo for a couple of weeks. I'd never had any firewall except ZA before that. I've had no trouble with the new version, and the Mailfrontier Desktop thing is easy to uninstall.

Hmmmm you got me on that one.

The machinery needed for hooking into Vista at a low level is much more complex than in XP. That is why many security programs, and other applications that must hook into it at a system level, have been slow to bring out Vista compatible products. I suspect they are all in a mad scramble to finish their updates now that the mass release of Vista is imminent.
