"OT-Outlook Express password ?"

Hey gang! Question about OE 6...When I set it up, did not ck the box that remembers my pw (cuz I had forgotten and had to guess) and after finding the correct one, I have to type it in everytime Isn't there a way to correct it now? Or do I have to create another identity? The "remember my password" block is greyed out, so can't ck it.

In case what the others have suggested doesn't do the trick, you can remove corrupted or forgotten passwords by following these instructions which are copied from a couple different sites:

How To Remove Your .PWL Files
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

.PWL - Pass Word List - files contain passwords and other secure tidbits remembered by Windows. Sometimes, these get corrupted and things like the 'Remember password' option in Dial-up Networking go malfunctional. It is believed that PWL corruption may sometimes cause DUN 718 and 645 errors.
Click on Start, Find or Search, Files or Folders
Type *.pwl in the Named box
In the Look in: box, select the ( drive
Click the Find now or Search now button. Windows will search your hard drive for any file which ends in .pwl. A list of these files will appear in a search results window.
When the search is complete, right-click on each file listed in the search results window and choose Delete If prompted, choose Yes
When all of the listed files have been deleted, close the search window.
Reboot your computer by clicking Start, Shut Down, Select Restart, click OK
Once Windows has restarted, you will be prompted for a user name and password. Type anything for the username, but leave the password blank.
Click OK
Your PWL should now have been recreated, uncorrupted.

"It's a good idea to make copies of these files frequently, unless you're really good at remembering all those passwords. The .PWL files are generally small and can easily fit on a floppy with the other files".

Jim.
