So far I have replaced, not in this order, HD, PSU, memory, CPU, operating system, disabled network, changed network configs, IDE cables, CMOS battery, etc. Anything you can Google I've tried. It will shut off from a cold PC, hot PC, luke warm PC. All temps are always in the normal range. The very last things to swap out is the mobo and my jockey shorts.
All drivers updated, rolled back, disabled, redated. Even loaded Win 98SE for a couple of days. (Didn't try ME, but you knew that.) The orogainal PSU is a 500W, replaced with a 650W, and than a 350W. AC is a main feed to my network, only this PC fails. Hence, another mobo.
Did I leave anything out?
Edit for Chew-Thanks for reminding me. It will pass that test. The problem is that all of the other components also pass every test. I can run intensive benchmarks without failing. I have 3DMark06 and PCMark05 which are about as intensive as you get and the PC won't crap out. It must have, what we called in the old telco, a swinging open or short somewhere in the board. Been after this for over a month. Walk by the sucker and it shuts down. (or just look at it.
