I just got back from a family Thanksgiving dinner at my sister in laws and have to sit a little further from the keyboard. She did not dissapoint us,She remembered the reception they got last year and made them again. They were a surprise to a grandchild who did not try the last time.He is now hooked on them and told his mom to "Get the recipe.Did anyone else enjoy the again
Ah Newbie, I remember that thread from last year, it was very interesting. Someone recommended roasting garlic and I dared to try the recipe. There was no real rush to be the first into the dish at supper but once they overcame the fear of that awful garlic taste they all tried them and enjoyed them.
Glad you enjoyed your meal again but I suppose it is diet time for a day or two now?
Gilroy,California,a few miles south of here calls itself the "GARLIC CAPITOL of THE WORLD" Every year they Have a weekend festival with all sorts of garlic flavored dishes. So far no sweet potatoes but they do have garlic ice cream.I prefer the sweet potatoes.Regular white potatoes with became "gourmet" awhile back in many restaurants.I am surprised that some chef hasn't put Garlic sweet potatoes on the menu. They are good!AND Iam cutting back AFTER the weekend.
