Yeah Broncos! I went to the Baltimore game and got soaked, but it was worth it. Hopefully I'll get to see a couple more this year. With the way the defense is playing, we have a legit shot at taking the division and making a decent run in the playoffs. Its only week 6 though.

I like to rotate my wallpaper every couple of weeks. I probably have well over 2,000 that I've saved throughout the years. There are a ton from NGEO's and Deviant Art's that I've downloaded.

>Anthony is that Vista or XP? If XP, you must be using some
>sort of a MOD or skin. Can you tell me where you got that?

It's XP. The wallpaper is a standard Apple wallpaper. The OS skin is a Visual Style (I like the black and white look of "Milk" type skins). Milk was originnally developed for Apple OSX, but has been ported many times for XP Visual Styles. To use custom visual styles (ie styles other than XP's Classic or Luna) you need to hack Windows or use a program called StyleXP. To hack uxtheme.dll do a Google search for uxtheme patcher.

The drive icons on the left are AVE Desk widgets. They are workable icons that open the respective drives/partitions and the text below then display in real-time the drive stats (can be configured to show whatever you want (ie free space, used space, etc.). AVE Desk can be found here: http://www.avedesk.org/

The weather program on the right is Samurize. I made a custom script to show all the weather-related information for my area.

The calender is the classic proggy Rainlender.

The dock on the bottom is Yz Dock (which is no longer being developed). Also good is RK Launcher or Rocket Dock. The most realistic Apple dock clone is RK Launcher, the most popular one which is still being actively updated is Object Dock.

What you can't see from my screenshot is all the other custom graphical mods I have done. I love the way Apple OSX looks. Their GUI totally blows XP and Vista away. Apple's GUI graphic artists are just that- artists. Windows icons look like they were designed by a 5 year old child. For a total mod of your system complete with everything I listed above, I use a GUI transformation pack. The best one out there is Chris Kite's Flyakite OSX. It can be found here: http://osx.portraitofakite.com/ If you are going to do a total mod of your system files, definitely back up your entire system first. I've installed this many times on numerous systems and have never run into a single problem, though. But I still back up first- better to be safe than sorry. Look at the screenshots on osx.portraitofakite.com, the inner workings of my GUI look exactly like that.

Balo...is this picture of your desktop 50kb? Looks bigger...

Images don't have to be hosted on our server. We limit them to a generous 50KB, but if you have your own web space you can post any size you want. Most of us are on broadband, but there are still some using dial-up, posting huge files is unfair to them.

An image of almost any screen size can be fit into 50KB if you know how to manipulate them. I see avatars on posts that are 30KB or more, that is wasteful and ridiculous, my avatar is only about 3KB.
