Everyone pack your bags, because PCQandA is moving.

I've been testing out a new server and think I've got everything all set up. On Saturday night, at around 9:30pm I'll shut down the forum this server. (This way no posts are made as I'm transferring the data.) I'll then transfer any remaining files (I've already transferred most of the files over) and will re-transfer the database. Then I'll re-enable the forum on the new server. Once this is done, I'll update the PCQandA.com domain name to point to the new server. (I'll set the domain name to update quickly to reduce propagation time.)

There should be between one and four hours of downtime. Thank you in advance for being patient while we do this.

Incidentally, this is the server move, not the forum move. I decided that we should do the server move first as it will give us time to plan out the more complicated forum move. It will also save us money as the new server setup costs vastly less than the old one does. Once we're ready for the forum move, there will be more downtime, but this won't be for awhile.
