"XBMC"

Thought I pass along the program XBMC which allows the user to view free movies and TV.
The program is free so you can Google or Bing it for info.

If anyone is interested here's the link I used from You tube for setting up and installing the basic plug-ins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLS5CVcFfhw

There are other plug-ins for HBO SHOWTIME STARS CINEMAX and for any other premium channels there is, but there are contained in different videos on you tube for set up and yes the plug ins are free..

Thanks for the post and link. I just installed XBMC on a PC in order to investigate its' potential. This will assist in my research.

Have you fellas got any updates on this program? It looks pretty amazing from the videos, but I haven't installed it yet.

Are there any legalities that are involved to be concerned about? I have always been told "streaming" is fine, as long as a person isn't downloading. I have very fast internet now, so I would like to ditch the Dish.

What say you all?

Thanks,

HP

The program XBMC is legal it has no content and you can install add-ons
which are links for streaming material for movies and television.

It is used as a media hub for television “XBOX MEDIA CENTER” for
it has features other than streaming.

I have a 27inch monitor so sometimes i'll watch it from my work station but
the idea is to sit on the couch and use your television for viewing.

I'am using the connect to tv that's demonstrated in this video although i'am
using a different laptop and the push2tv was $40 dollars.

Their are other ways for a connection but as far as I know not wirelessly.

In answer to your question as long as it's streaming to what I have read it's legal
however downloading is a no no. Install it and run it on your desktop so you can
get the feel of how it works..
