What do I need to increase audio on TV? Had a sound bar which died and now the sound is not acceptable. I want the cheapest solution I can find.
Googled the problem and it showed a little Kinter 12v 2 channel mimi digital audio power amp which is about $10. at Amazon. The comments were mixed, some indicated it would work fine and others disagreed.

You should still be able to adjust your sound level. Who is your service provider? Do you have any speaker and amplifier attached to the TV? If not, any stereo amplifier attached to the TV's audio out jack and stereo speaker should solve the problem almost all audio output jacks on televisions are stereo but you could use mono to save money.

Tried it on another TV. No joy.
The sound bar is a Vizio VSB210WS. It is over 3ft wide and has a large subwoofer. BTW the subwoofer is probably OK since it was not connected when the SB stopped working.
Think it was caused from high volume surge from government warnings about the recent hurricane. They are very annoying in my area and are often made with the same information over and over. Each time one comes on it causes the SB to cut off. I had restarted the SB and it was killed again, so I left it off. After that it would not power on. We live close to the Gulf of Mexico area and this is a big problem.
I know little about amps and so I am reading up on it. May get another SB since it would have the speakers. Looking for one that is cheap with optical or RCA input. So many on ebay have only USB input. I also want a remote.
If anyone has any suggestions, please tell me, I need help.
