It's hard to believe that 35 years have passed. It seems like yesterday, but of course it isn't, we grabbed at the universe only to have the politicians make it slip through our fingers. They say there were over 250,000 of us, scientists and engineers from all over the country working on the dream. Most of us just contributed a tiny piece of the puzzle, but each felt deeply involved. Many felt bitter and betrayed, they swore never to work for the government again, and too many of the best kept that vow.
Today we can only look into the night sky and ponder what might have been. We will get to the Moon again, and beyond to the planets, our kind will live and work out there, but most of us who were present at the beginning will not be around to see it.
It would have been nice to have been there already...I can imagine all the things we would have learned by now.If no one else has ever said it ill say it...thanks for being a part of it..
I remember our gathering in Orlando, and I think the best part of it (besides Miztrial's cooking) was the trip to the space center. Seeing stuff in person makes it so much more incredible and important. It was really cool to have Shelly there talking about all the little nuances of the project, and showing us the part he had worked on.
Shrimp was good too. I went to buy some at the store the other day and it was something like $15/lb. I passed, I think a plane ticket and a few coolers would have been cheaper.

We have never met, spoken, or even sent a private e-mail to each other. But should we ever sit across a dinner table together, I would feel I was eating with an old, very dear friend. Thank you for all you have done, for so many of us.
Wow, Boy not getting on here all day sure puts one behind in these posts. But they said it all, we proud of the work you have done and continue to do here on a daily basis, lol even though you are backing Kerry. LOL
